hi! i told you i would come and visit. and sure enough i learned something and laughed!!! now that is a successful trip for sure:-)
"(1) never trust anybody over 30
and
(2) people from academia are only out to maintain the status quo.

Is it when we've actually reached the big 30 that we discard this information?"
i think telling the truth died with our collective activist spirits. i also think this is why most blacks have lost their self love, self acceptance, and self respect and we see the utter destruction in our communities today as a result. black communities DO still exist--exertions to the contrary are vicious lies and should be rejected.
i agree with the second point, would change "only" to "for the most part" and then my agreement would be wholehearted, not so much the first. most people over thirty tend to be complacent---student loans, mortgages, children and other responsibilities; in their minds=too much to lose.
however, i have met a few over thirty that will tell the truth without apology. granted the patriot act is now making their lives miserable just as cointelpro did when they were younger:) what do they call them now, "knock and chats"?
what takes you to palestine/israel? if you don't mind me asking?
What made me come to Israel. Primarily education. At the time I was basically with no place to live and had to find another apartment, but at the same time I wanted more knowledge about Torah, Judaism, etc. So, I ended up here. I meant to stay for a short while, in a seminary.

Hi FocusedPurpose! Thanks for stopping by.
What made me come to Israel. Primarily education. At the time I was basically with no place to live and had to find another apartment, but at the same time I wanted more knowledge about Torah, Judaism, etc. So, I ended up here. I meant to stay for a short while, in a seminary.
But then I got married and here I am.
Miriam-
