Neshama News- London is burning

Edom is on fire.  Now if I wanted to say this in their own Edomite /western style news method, I would say: "It appears that the country that has invaded, colonized and blatantly took over many countries the world over is getting a taste of its own medicine. Hundreds of youths, descendents of many of those very same countries ravaged by Britain so long ago (and not so long ago), have risen and are given back.  The rooster has come home to roost as the saying goes. We can only hope that they make it out okay, but the damages seem irreparable..

I could write like that.  Certainly if this was happening in a Black or African country, this is how the news would run. All the negative adjectives and reminders of all their problems listed out smoothly; the hope for the future left bleak.  And then, as a slap in the face, the turn to other news as if that horribly bad news they just gave was a "ho hum."

Well, Edom is burning. Various cities in England to be exact is dealing with so much rioting, looting, vandalism and the police are doing nothing. Finally the people themselves have taken to the streets to protect their property.

Try as I might, it is really difficult to find a western media outlet who can explain in a straight way to explain what the problem is. (so far the best place I've found is Vlad Tepes blog).

(1) Many are saying its the youth and their "entitlement culture".  Yes. the blame stops right at the people who expects what the country has given them.  But how did this "entitlement" mentality develop in the first place?  How far is it safe to go to discover the root of the problem?

(2) Many are saying it isn't just the 'minorities' in Britain, but every one of every stripes, class, and culture.  And honestly, many videos seem to be surfacing recently pointing in that direction.  I'm not sure what to do with this information. Either MSM is at it again obfuscating the facts in the hopes of steering reality to how they would like it to be. Or they got it wrong at the beginning and it really was a multi-ethnic, multi-culture endeavor. Or maybe it started out with mostly Blacks and then changed. Who can know anything with today's media?

Just like when a Muslim terrorist commits a crime while screaming those magic words at the top of his lungs, the media would rather not use the word Muslim nor terrorist.

They'll even omit the part that he was yelling anything!  That is disturbing because it takes away from the victory that the Muslim wants to accomplish --by not recognizing neither the terrorist, nor his whole purpose for doing the crime in the first place.  And disturbing also because it paints an untruthful picture since they tend to describe the perpetrators of such crimes as "African immigrant" or "Asian immigrant".  The backlash will be on anyone who looks "African" or "Asian".

Also, stretching a bit further back, just like when they needed slaves for the new America. Somehow they tried to change their perception of reality by deciding that Blacks weren't really human, but rather some sort of subhuman beings. Thus it was okay to grab as many as they could and "ship" them and enslave them --even finding it puzzling when these slaves try to escape or revolt.  The crazy part is they seemed to even believe their own lies.

Like in the cartoons when the character makes his own hole and then jumps into it.


At least, the good news about the slave trade is that, with much fighting and revolting, etc. Britain and America (who's Britain's offspring) finally recognized the human-ness of Black people, which is more than I can say for many in certain Arab countries who truly believe with all their heart that Blacks are slaves or like animals and to this day continue with slavery.

At any rate, London is on fire as we speak.  When will the people of England, and much of the world for that matter, take an honest look at things and find real solutions?

(Briefly, there are three parts -really five- to the souls according to Judaism.  There's the soul -the spiritual part that is in charge of keeping the body taken care of. That part knows that the body wants food, sleep and relations.   So, it pushes for that.  Then there is the spirit -it sort of works with the emotions and inspirations, etc of a person.  Then comes the Neshama --that part is what makes us feel like saving the world, or at least saving the whales. That is also the part that encourages us to look for God -because that part is still connected to Him. (the other two parts is a- the amount of potential a person has, how much breath of God someone received and b- the very thought of the person is God's "mind" so to speak)).

If the good people of this world is not active, evil will prevail.  Its not enough to love good..we must ..

Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish justice in the gate;(Amos 5:15)

Doing good is very nice. But actively hating the evil, to the point of eliminating it or ruining it or at least bringing it to justice is also vital.

And thank God that we can. And thank God that we are doing just that!

 And who would be the remnant of Joseph? What was Joseph all about? He was the one who was tested by Potiphar's wife, He was the one who protected his "seed" and did not succumb to the lusts of the world.

Greedy corporations are rushing to produce vegetables and other foods that are chemically and synthetically made. They are not too concerned with the side effects and really don't care what happens to the consumer. But Jeffrey Smith has picked up his sword and is challenging you to fight this too.

The Monsato company is a bioengineering company that creates genetically modified seeds and other foods for general consumption.  Note: greed is going after the "seeds" of the world now.  This is crucial.  This means they have reached yet a new level -unfettered by the "good" slumbering people of the world.  Seed is one of the basic parts of life. Luckily for us, its not the very beginning -sh! they probably don't know that.  The very beginning begins with the thought, knowledge.

On another front, amongst the many natural disasters occurring in our world, the biggest and most recent happened in Japan.  First an earthquake. Then a tsunami, and now there is the constant threat of their nuclear plant to send out radiation. Here is a simple explanation of what's going on with the nuclear reactor.

Many Jews (and Christians) smirked at what happened thinking they "had it coming" because  of their not siding with the Jewish people and encouraging a freeze on construction in Jerusalem (that announcement was made the same day of their earthquake).

And quite honestly, almost every country that came out against the Jews, had some form of disaster upon them: Australia and  Brazil come to mind. Regardless of what is going on, we must remember -Jews, I mean- that we are a microcosm of the world (if you believe that).  Which means, sitting back and laughing or smirking at other's disaster is like laughing at seeing our own eminent hurt from a distant.  We must always have compassion for the world and continue to want good for it, to feel its pain even if it doesn't feel ours.  Was Ithamar a wake up call? My heart goes out to the Fogel family.

On another front, all the various Arab countries are fighting for their rights to self govern. America thinks their fighting for American rights. okay...

Quaddafi's Libya is being bombed by American and other forces. So they picked a side in the civil war there.

(Well, anyway, Quaddafi's Jewish side of the family just had a baby girl. Mazal Tov!  His mother was a Jewish lady who was kidnapped by Bedouins long long ago. Parts of his Jewish family live around where I am)

On a lighter note, Ava DuVernay has founded a new Black movies distribution channel! Good news for all the folks who are tired of the same narrative that the big bucks thinks should be pushed down our throats. Gina,  at What About Our Daughters writes about that.  It all seemed so simple, why didn't anyone think of that before?  It seems, according to her website, AFFRM.com, that she made a coalition with various organizations that have film festivals and they all agreed to distribute two films per year.

And, finally, on this wonderful day of Purim, we have a "queen esther" of sorts visiting Israel right now! The one and only, Sarah Palin. Okay, on Purim people like to play tricks - its a little bit like Halloween.  So is this a Purim trick? Is she beneficial for us or not? Doesn't matter, we have something else to drink to now!  L'Chaim!!  lol.

I'm noticing some interesting changes in the outcome of a few stories.. Could these be winds of change? Hope we can believe in? People are not accepting wrong laying down. In one story in Israel near the settlements, some Arab guys were harrassing an 8 year old Jewish boy. When the boy's family and friends saw this, they chased the guys who ran and hid inside a school. The school refused to let the anyone come and get the guys.  The police come, I think even the bomb squad comes, but typical of the government these days, they do nothing.  But this time -here is the change- the people protest enough that the police try harder and actually gets the school to release the guys.

In another story, an old lady -68 years old- is constantly harrassed by a bunch of neighborhood thugs. What could have ended in possible rape, injury, damage, or even death for the old lady, ended with her shooting the thug in the arm. The 12 year old thug was rushed to the hospital and the media brought the lady's plight to light.

Many people in America are fighting the GZM (park 51) and are also fighting the monument that being constructed in the Pennsylvania location of the other plane crash (flight 93). These are regular people!

Its nothing short of an awakening. I'm not surprised that the media is not covering these stories. These are the stories that the digital camera and the cell phones and the bloggers and the like will broadcast.  Okay, these were a few examples only. If only there was a website that gathered these fights together so I can read about them.

In other news, Iranian computers have been attacked by Queen Esther?  There is a virus effecting many official's PCs in Iran and it bears a code myrtus (myrtle) which in Hebrew is Hadassah. Hadassah is the birth name of Esther in the Purim story. So far, though, no one has taken responsibility for this stuxnet worm. Some countries are making guesses.....


A pro Palestinian journalist writing for Hudson New York Online magazine Khaled Abu Toameh, makes this understatement:

"Western correspondents and newspapers continue to apply double standards when it comes to covering the Israeli-Arab conflict."

In these days, where pretty much the whole world is an enemy to the Jewish nation, Castro extends a hand to Israel. But there's more. In a shocking move,Fidel Castro, the leader in Cuba, a socialist /communist country mades some serious turn abouts recently. Among them...

(1) He announced that a socialist economy (or government) does not work.

(2) He extended a vote of sympathy towards Israel. I guess when its time to send support, anyone open to the wave will catch it!

Yet another group who thought that Al Sharpton, the NAACP et al. are waking up to the realization that they will throw any group under a bus that does not fit their poilitical agenda. Shais Rison from MaNishtana wrote an eye opener piece at his blog, MaNishtana.net.  Black on black crime is a yawn for these people.

Rosh Hashana is fast approaching. The second day of RH will incidently be on 9/11 that dreaded day when some Muslim terrorists hijacked two planes and crashed it into the NY Twin Towers killing about 3,000 people. Also there was the flight 93 that was also hijacked and crashed in Pennsylvania.  (May haShem comfort all these families). We are all aware of the controversy over the Mosque they want to build near ground zero. But little media attention is given to the battle going on against the creation to be built as a commemoration of the event.

My favorite nemesis at the moment, BP (British Petroleum) Oil confirmed today that in 2007 it put pressure on the British government with regard to an agreement with Libya on the transfer of prisoners in exchange for an acceleration of talks with Tripoli on offshore oil prospecting. Oh now nice. More terrorist on the loose, in exchange for slick oil money. A spy vs spy scenario, except its terrorist vs greed)

Ah well, the good news is that after 70 some odd numbers of days, they finally put a cap on the oil spill.

So much for Israeli PR,  it seems the job is better done when left to the people themselves. In the wake of a second "flotilla"  attempt, Yedida Freilich comes out with this beautiful song:

I'm sure Americans are aware of the attempted terrorist attack on the Detroit bound plane. I'm reading that people are blaming Obama. While I don't have much feelings for Obama, I do fear that each political camp (Democrat and for sure Republicans -especially since they are out of luck these days) will try to give it a political spin. Too many agendas. The real problem is there are a group of people who want to kill. They have to be stopped. Good going passenger!!! But I wonder why nobody listened to the would be terrorist's father?

Maybe I am wrong but I do notice a disconnect between government and people in many countries. Better I not say much more.

As things develop, I am beginning to see more and more how it is possible for Moshiach -the Messiah- to rule the world. Somehow a just government is needed, the world is bleeding for justice...

I suspect that whenever someone says "I am not scared to die!" they are usually pretty scared. Maybe its because of where I live, I don't know.

America should know that Israel experiences so called "terrorists" who hope to be captured in order to avoid the real terrorists who are hurting them and their family. I am not saying this is the case, but oy, things can get so complicated.

Obama won the Nobel Peace prize. It seems the internet is abuzz with what they think ought to be done about this. Whatever the case, it would have had more weight, in my opinion, had they waited just a bit longer.

Mahmoud Abbas is no longer a Palestinian. This according to Hamas. (from Arutz Sheva News) So what is he? Israeli? Jewish? They tried that with Ahmadinajad.

The Mayan calendar is almost over. The Jewish calendar is almost up (6000 marks the supposed end of the way things are). If I'm not mistaken even the Muslim calendar indicates their Caliph should be around the corner soon.

This sure sounds like the "end of TIMES" to me! I doesn't have to mean, necessarily, end of the world, etc. Just end of times. This year marks the Jewish new year of 5770. This is represented by Hod of hod of Yesod.

Hod of hod: basically the Godly quality of being invisible. Don't people complain alot about that? Being invisible. Well, I wonder if its those people's time to shine?? And not just any hod of hod. But hod of hod of YESOD (more on yesod here; on hod here.).

What is Neshama News. Neshama is the part of our soul that is still connected to God. Its that part that tugs at us when we feel the need to 'connect to the universe' or 'feed the hungry' or 'save the whales.' Neshama News is meant to document news stories but in a way that encourages faith and, at times, give us (me) hope.

Black Friday blackened. As with every year, stores have a black Friday sale in which items are drastically cut down in prices. Hopeful consumers line up hours in advance before the stores open hoping for bargains. Well this year, things turned deadly. At a Toys R Us in California, two people were shot and killed -possibly in the name of materialism. What kind of "bargain" was that? Materialism is just NOT worth two lives -not even one life! But it continues as Wal Mart Black Friday Stampede takes the life of a worker. The Holiday season has been infused with materialsim for a while now, perhaps this is a wake up call?

The terrorist attack in Mumbai is finally over. According to reports, about 195 people were killed. Again, precious lives taken by those with disregard for what is holy and precious. India claims that the attack was from a Pakistani militant group, Lashkar-e-Taiba. However, they stopped short of accusing the Pakistani government of being accomplices. India and Pakistan have been battling each other since 1947 over border disputes. (the same type of disputes that went on in Rwanda, the middle east) Who's footprints are those? At any rate, blame does not fix the problem. In a show of great humility, Shivraj Patil, the At Home Minister of India resigned. Other governments should learn from this.

Speaking of government heads resigning, In Thailand, protesters have taken over Bangkok's two airports and won't let go until Thailand's Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat resigns. Why do they want him to resign? Because of a protest that happened in October 7 in which the police were ordered to take apparently drastic steps against the protesters and fired teargas canisters.
