A Case Against Spirituality/Religion

If you know me, you know many of my posts are about spirituality.  So why am I bringing a case against spirituality?

Although I do post about spirituality, my emphasis, however, is to bring spirituality to a more practical level. The reason for this is that even though it has been said that Black folks are very spiritual people, I will wager that White folks are more spiritual and that the more spiritual we go, the more we end up on their home battlefield giving SWS the upperhand against us.

Allow me to explain.

Everything in the spiritual world has its corresponding part in the physical world.  This is one of the main points in much of what I write.  It's like heaven and earth are tied together by spiraling columns. When you see the pigeons perched on a building, then suddenly taking flight, where are they going?  Nowhere! They go round in circles because they found a column of warm air spiraling up from earth to the sky.  Even when we don't see it, there is a spiraling column going from the physical, see-able world to the spiritual, un-see-able world.

Why do people go to pray at a very righteous person's grave site? Because as the decomposition occurs, there is a column spiraling from the earth upwards.  They want to catch that essence, that "warm air," that heat.

In ancient times, when a people understood an event, but could not explain it in scientific terms, they resort to speaking about it in spiritual terms.  Ravaging illnesses become curses, great good become blessings, and so on.  The focus was on the energy that moved, the spiritual aspect of what's going on.

But even now, many ancient religious books still have a remnant of the connection between spiritual and physical.  For example:  most agree that water which is so life giving is the physical manifestation of mercy, instruction, life.  Most agree that you can learn character traits from the animals.

In Judaism, we find these connections:

wine = understanding
oil = wisdom
rock = obtuse-ness
precious stone = something rare, of value.
sunrays = harsh judgment.
water = mercy, instructions
rainbow = mitigated judgement (water/mercy blocking the sunrays/harsh judgment
clothing = masks

Some more controversial connections I made:
knots and braids = reminders of laws to live by

Black folks are Spiritual People

It's not for nothing that Black folks are associated with Hamm in the Torah.  Hamm in Hebrew means heat.  Its like that same warm air that spirals from the earth to the heaven, the same connection of the physical to the spiritual.  And sure enough, nine times out of ten, we find Black folks "out poping the pope, and outMuhammad Muhammad" as Malcolm X once said.

I'll never forget a word of advice my mother gave me when I decided to pursue Judaism.  She said, "Don't be more Jewish than the Jewish people!"  She knew the typical inclination of black folks was to do the most, especially when it comes to religion, and she warned me against it.

Indeed, how can Black folks not be spiritual.  We have an ancient DNA that have seen it all, been through it all, and have learned.  If there is spirituality out there, we have surely experienced it.  And truly, much of what many religions hold by was started in ancient Kemet.

SWS folks are more spiritual

But the difference between white folks and black folks is that black folks have their feet in the soil.  They are FROM the earth EXPANDING towards the heaven, like a column of warm air.  White folks, it may be that they come from above.  Either their history is just as the stories recounts about the Nefillim - demonic angels that "fell from the sky." Or, as another story goes, where Black people who slandered others would get stricken with an illness called Tzaraat in Hebrew (which was misinterpreted as leprosy for the English speakers).  Or, somehow they are the albinos who left.  Or a combination of all of these.

It has always been the practice of most black societies to bury their dead. To return it to the soil.

In nordic societies, it was more common to burn their dead, as if to return them back to where they came from -- the heavens.

"The Blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice"

How do you know when a fruit is ready? When it is vibrant with color.  A red apple, as opposed to a pale apple is more attractive because we instinctively know it is has all its vitamins in place, it has matured, and is ready for consumption.

When we see someone or something pale, we think sickly, near death, closer to the spiritual, and farther from living, life in the physical world.

And sure enough, many SWS can't handle the sun.  their skin begins to peel off of them.  They have difficulty being barefoot on the soil. They want to go from their air-conditioned car straight into a building -- a skyscraper high in the sky.  In fact, the penthouse is considered a great place to be.

In their lands, there isn't much resources and the weather is brutal. So physical life was not ideal. As a result they are/became very creative, very imaginative.  The imagination comes to life.  Movies made by black folks typically tend to be a recounting of real events.  Movies and books made by white people tend to be out of this world, very imaginative, and thus amazing.

The Battlefield

When a sport team has to play against an opponent, there is an increased chance they will win when they play in their own home courts.  More of the audience will be cheering the team on when they're at the home court.  The team is already more comfortable and relaxed when at their own courts and familiar surroundings.  Not to mention, who know what messages can be left for them when they go to a foreign court to play.  In such a case, playing on foreign ground is hemmed-in ground (Sun Tzu).

The same concept applies in war.  When the battle is waged in familiar ground, the home team know where to hide, the pitfalls of the area, they are familiar with the weather, and all their supplies are there.  But when a team has to fight on foreign soil, they have to find ways to have supplies constantly shipped over, or they have to carry a great burden of supplies to make sure they have enough. Home ground is a lot easier and more advantageous than foreign ground. But the pitfall is that deserters can easily just run home.

The same concept applies when dealing with white supreme lunacy whose hope is to destroy the world and whose first order of business is to attempt to eliminate the "column of warm air" or remove their critical thinking abilities.

While we are on their land, the spiritual realm, we are in a vulnerable place.  They are in familiar territory, and they have all their supplies at hand.

It's only now, in the year 2020, that we are waking up to the fact that we are left with no tangibles in America.  South Africa's Black population is stuffed into 25 percent of the land even though they are more numerous than the colonizers.  And they are okay with this.

In the Caribbean, although they have land and resources, it is being mismanaged.  But everyone hopes that a savior will come and fix it all, punish the bad guys, and call it a day.

There does seem to be great progress nevertheless!  Many African people are turning back to their ancient spirituality.  There seems to be a growing amount of Black athiests. Some are exploring Asian religion, such as Buddhism which will, hopefully, give them a more well-rounded understanding that there are many religions in the world.  In America, Black folks are upset that the church does not assist more in their lives, they are demanding tangibles from the government, and many are making connections to African countries and African spiritualities.

The struggle is real... but let's wrap things up.

Religion truly can be a powerful opium for the masses.

When colonizers came to the shores of Africa, they came with religion.  Religion connotes righteousness and holiness.  They came preaching about a better path in life.  But when they got down and dirty, they put religion aside and brought out bayonets and knives.  Essentially, they burned their "boats" and "bridges" to assure their own ranks that there would be no going back.

When he has penetrated into hostile territory, but to no great distance, it is facile ground.

Li Ch`uan and Ho Shih say "because of the facility for retreating," and the other commentators give similar explanations. Tu Mu remarks: "When your army has crossed the border, you should burn your boats and bridges, in order to make it clear to everybody that you have no hankering after home."

This is from Sun Tzu's The Art of War.  When the soldiers of the colonizers were forced to pierce the skin of the native people and spill their life blood out, there was no turning back to holiness.  If any of them truly believed in their heart that they were holy and that they were bringing holiness to the people, then this act of murdering them and ruthlessly taking their land and resources showed them they were not and that they will never be.  The bridge was burned.

This should serve as a warning to Black folks as well. Black folks all over have been taken captive into a maze of religiosity that brings nothing.   If we pull the battle back to physicality, back to tangibles, back to land and resources, what "bridge" would have to be burned so the people don't run back "to the plantation"? If critical thinking is wrestled back to Black people, would they also have to give up on religion in order to understand that we are here for good?

Black Society Versus White Society

If I could draw what comes to my mind when I think of white society, it would be a sphere.  A sphere with a hollow center.  Inside that hollow center is what everyone is looking at, gazing at, and aspiring to.  But there's nothing really there.  All that is there is an imaginary boy, blond, blue-eyed, white pale skin, and effeminate.  This is the holy grail of whiteness.  And everyone in that society forms a sphere around this image and move towards it.  Those who are closes to that image are up close near the hollow.  Those who have no chance unless they bleach their skin, put contact lens, and dye their hair are all the way in the back, outer circumference of the sphere.  So, you can see this black hollow, then a white sphere that is gradually getting darker the more outwards you go.  That would be the picture and symbol of white society.

If I could draw what comes to my mind when I think of Black society, it would be a cube.  A cube with lines of longitude and latitude.  And at every crisscross of those lines is a black dot.  Each of these dots represent a person.  In other words, each person is a unique, stand-alone dot.  It takes a village to raise a child because all the surrounding dots of a particular dot will help that particular dot understand its place.  Each one grows unique and has space for creativity.  However, when one dot is ruined (killed off before their time, belittled, or inflated), it messes things up for all the other dots like a ripple in water.  Now to prevent this ripple from effecting too great a circumference, the surround dots hold firm and tries to shake the effected dot from whatever affected it, even resorting to sending the vibration back to the already-affected dot.  This plays out when someone trips.  For example, a black boxer is beaten badly by a SWS boxer.  Those around this boxer will get disgusted at the boxer and blame him, even accusing him for the wrongs that happened to him.  It seems merciless to send pain back to the already pained, but there is a logic to it.

The problem comes when both societies collide and confusion ensues.

In such a case, a white person seeing a flaw in a Black person will attempt to spread this flaw onto all the rest of the Black population.  Not only that, but the expected solution is to face the hollow and pursue the hallowed image and goal.  A Black person seeing a flaw in a white person will think that that particular white person is problematic.  This would be the basic problems.  But there are devilishly. intelligent, people out there.  There are those who understand the organization of both societies and use it to their own advantage.

Story Plot versus Real Life

Certain story plots are really similar to real life, at least, to me.  If I didn't know any better, I would say they saw people in pain, relished in it, and created a story out of it.  Now why would they do that?  Is it purely for entertainment? Actually no.  But before we delve into the power of story plots, let's review some very interesting plots and its real-life doppelganger.

The Dragon Prince.  In the story of the Dragon Prince, two young princes attempt to stop an imminent war between the magical world creatures; elves, dragons, etc. and the humans.  The world is on the verge of war because some humans found that if they killed (break) the magical creatures, then they could obtain some of their powers temporarily.  This gave the humans a chance to be magical.  The magical creatures, of course, were against it because life was precious to them.

This reminds me of white supreme lunatics (supremacists) who think they have the right to Black people, indigenous people and aboriginal people's property and resources and labor.  They break them with emotional, physical, and mental attacks relentlessly and ruthlessly and take over their very lives, their land, and their resources. The only difference is that in real life, the story is not over.  It is also interesting that in the story plot, they find a way to peacefully co-exist -- until the next season comes out.

The Wrong Man.  The wrong man is a cable series about wrongly convicted people who were thrown in jail mercilessly and the attempt to free them.  In the beginning, no one cared to free them.  They were Black, they were Brown, they were the kind of people that help the illusion statistics of who's a criminal and who isn't.  In the movie a bunch of suited-up white men carrying briefcases and the weight of the world on their shoulder try to release these poor, innocent people.

This reminds me of areal life dynamic duo team of black women, MiAngel Cody and Brittany Barnett, the tables are turning.

A few years ago, with the financial backing of a celebrity, they were able to open cases and free 17 innocent men.  They were able to undue years upon years of injustice committed by the system and sanctioned by society after many, many years, spending a decade writing petitions back in 2011.  So, when society sees their handiwork becoming undone, would they celebrate it?  What's in it for them?  So, they create a series where this becomes entertainment.  The Wrong Man is named after the Alfred Hitchcock movie of the same name.  What started as a fun idea of locking up innocent people, spiraled into a source of entertainment, only to be shattered by these brave warriors.

Avatar.  The Avatar movie is about a time when Earth is exhausted and dying.  But the white supreme lunatics are ever relentless in their pursuit to crush, kill, and destroy.  This time, they have well camera'd Black bootlick scenes showing the Black folks' willingness to go along with the agenda. Unlike the 1960's Time Machine movie which portrays the future with no black folks whatsoever, in Avatar, the Black folks have all cooned out.  But in the end, the blue people used all their natural resources to give one big punch to the enemy and send them back to Earth.

This movie reminds me of the Ethiopian battle against the Italians who wanted to take over their land.  After the Berlin Conference where European nations gathered together to plot the destruction and takeover of the African continent, Italy went about trying to get "her portion."  Ethiopia was that land.  However, the Ethiopians fought valiantly.  Not only that, but they used nature and the creatures in their land as part of their warfare.  A swarm of wasps were sent to attack and weaken the Italian army.

And there are many more movies with interesting plots that are reminiscent of real life.  Now why are these stories told?  And why that way?  Let's take the 1986 Shaka Zulu movie.  Grandiose as it was, it was not accurate.  In the movie, the British won.  But in actuality, they were not able to defeat Shaka Zulu.  In fact, it wasn't until his son took over that the British had a chance of overtaking the Zulu warriors.  But yet in the movie, they change the truth a little bit.

Movies, stories, and lore are all one and the same.  Although we can't see what goes on in the spiritual or abstract world, we can definitely feel something going on.  For instance, when we commit to being good people and doing right, then we feel guilt when a tempting thought to steal comes into our minds.  We resist.  We fight internally.  Or when we see a good thing to do, we feel "driven" to do it.  What "drove" us?   Same can be said about wicked things.  Basically, once our minds are made up to go a certain path, it's almost as if it's not us anymore, we are now "driven" to keep moving.  We set the ball rolling and the energy of inertia won't let us stop.  This energy is what we call spiritual.  And even when we sleep the energy is still there.  But we're asleep, so there's nothing happen.  So, this energy -- which is still pushing us -- enters the one part that is still active in our minds when we sleep, the imagination.

In the imagination, this energy takes on a more personified role.  It becomes a character in our day dream.  And the more driven we are about different things, the more characters we gain.
The ancient people of Kemet knew that Heru was not real.  They knew that Ausar was not real. But they used these characters to explain a lot of the energy that was used to create the world as well as the energy that drove them to have the type of society and value system that they had.  The same is true for the ancient Greeks and their mythology.  The same may be true for the Hebrews and their Biblical stories.

Fast forward to today.  There are many stories, movies, and lore all meant to sway your imagination and lead you to adopt the media moguls' spirit, energy, and therefore, their belief system, value system, and way of life.  The big theme is the white savior in all the movies.  As entertaining as these movies are, its worth being cautious against consuming too much.

As you can see, it’s a spiraling process.  We begin a movement towards a direction (the dynamic duo freeing illegally criminalized men, our forefathers meriting lush lands and resources, etc), the spin doctors then make a movie about, but ever to slightly off from the truth -- trying to harness that energy, but then turn it into the direction that they want.  If we are not careful, we will proceed to go in that new (spin doctor's) direction and forget the original direction -- the direction that is meant to help us.

Dear Black Jews

This message is for those Black Jews who came in from the secular world and into Judaism and found racism and left.

Coming to Judaism from the secular world, is like jumping from the frying pan and into the fire.  That can be a bad thing.  But it can also be a good thing.  Let me explain.

It can be a bad thing, of course, because that is not what we are looking for.  In our quest for truth, it seemed -- at least from the outside -- that Judaism offered the absolute truth, the straight, no chaser truth, deep knowledge and pious people all concerned only with performing mitzvoth and beautifying those mitzvoth.  But then we have the rude awakening, some of those very same people who looked so gorgeous from the outside, weren't so nice up close and personal.  It was all marketing.  Up close and personal, they find your skin something they must distance themselves from.  Their very holy books disparage black skin, so how can they, the people who read and learn from those books not do otherwise?  And there you have it.  A whole society based on books and teachings that slander black skin and there you are in the middle of it all.  Bad thing.

It can also be a good thing.  If you are a Black Jew that came from the outside, from the secular world, then that means you jumped through many hoops to get to where you are.  That means you observed the secular world and saw how harsh it was, how cruel it could be, and took action for yourself in the hopes of finding better.  And you did find better!  You jumped from the frying pan and straight into the fire.  Straight into the source for many of the racism that is going around.  The idea that Black people should be slaves, the idea that they are inferior, etc.  All of this can be backed up with midrashim.

But here's the kicker.  The fact that you made it this far means that you are a fighter.  A tired one, but a fighter nonetheless.  The Matrix red pill taker.  Now you have the noble task of learning and growing in Judaism and becoming such a talmid chacham, or your children becoming such a talmid chacham that you can mitigate this ugly judgement that many so happily will place upon Black folks.  You can come up with -- after you are learned -- midrashim of your own, divinely inspired responsas, and mitigate the judgement that Jews have placed on Black folks.  Sure, most would probably not accept it.  But once it's out into the world, they will have to recon with it.  And it will already be a powerful voice in shamayim in defense of Black people in the world.
You didn't ask for this fight.  Hashem picked you.  Only be strong and courageous like Yehoshua ben Nun.  Study Torah incessantly.  Make it your friend.  The whole reason that there are converts in the first place is so that they bring new things, fresh thoughts, new blood to Judaism.  The whole reason for the galut/exile is to bring in converts.  Of course, the born Jews won't be too happy about it.  But this is Hashem's plan.  Many of the apparent gatekeepers my not be happy with your convictions and may not even invite you to their homes.  Did you come for the gefilte fish or did you come for Hashem?

There is a reason why so many Africans are interested in Judaism, but yet very few are let in.  There is a reason why some Black Americans feel drawn to Judaism, but yet are not welcomed or once welcomed, are mistreated to the point that they walk right out.  Two reasons actually.  Erev Rav and old man Yatzer Hara.

Something is trying to be born.  Judaism is trying to give birth.  But the midwives want to kill the child before it's even born.  A yin-yang balance is trying to happen in the Jewish world.  As the Jews begin to embrace how beautiful blue eyes are on their babies, as they admire blond Jews, as they embrace the idea that maybe they can be accepted now into whiteness, Hashem brings the balance.  The Black Jew.  The strength, the steadfast, the solid black man and woman, well known for their spirituality, their honesty, their cool confidence (which could give way to strong emunah), and their blackness (uh-oh!).

However, the Erev Rav are busy massaging the Jewish people to sleep.  The last thing they want is Woke Black folks turning things up.  Black folks?  Those people who like to keep things real?  Keep things 100?  They'll ruin the jig! Not what the Erev Rav wants.  But the Jewish people need you more than you realize.  More than you need them.

The Yatzer Hara encourages them to follow the Erev Rav to sleep.  How long they have wanted Esav to love them.  To embrace them.  Some of them, of course.  An unrequited love affair has been danced for years only to culminate in the tragic holocaust.  The yatzer hara again is lulling the Jewish people to sleep again with the idea that if they team up with other countries -- land grabbing countries, then everyone will understand that they, Israel, is not like them - not a land grabber, but a tribal people who is reclaiming their land from foreign occupation.  The yatzer hara encourages that they push for western values in the name of acceptance by the Western world, the very place that packages and distributes global white supremacy (even disparaging Jews).

So you see, you've come to the right place if you were fed up with the cruelties of the world, fed up with its harshness, its racism, etc.  You have arrived at it's very doorstep.  Are you seriously going to turn away and not make a dent? After coming so far?

Neshama News

September 2017.  Grassroots organization gave birth to Black Lives Matter some time ago.  Unfortunately, George Soros and his money found a way to derail that organization and turned it into a circus show with the new volunteers going to Israel or to South Dakota or anywhere else but a black place to shout about whatever the breeze is blowing at the moment.  But thankfully, the message did not go away.  It was revived when many NFL player and other sports players, including Colin Kaepernick, knelt down during the national anthem to protest police brutality.

Finally, the U.S. president, Trump decided to help out this situation by adding his two cents in. Basically, he called the peaceful protesters, "son of a bitch"!

There you have it, folks.  The prez. dissing members of his own nation protesting peacefully.

In other news, Master P Makes 'Em Say  Sports League.  Yes, he has created a black owned sports league and a team. Now its up to us to breath life into it.  Its mixed gender. This is the key to success. Action -- thought out action.  Here's to wishing Master P the greatest of success!

Find your place in the organization. Black folks are galvanizing to recreate their world.  Don't be left behind.  find the circle that works for you.  In Atlanta, Georgia, Black women will be host the first ever, "Natinoal African American Women's Conversation" Saturday, October 7.2017. For more information about this, contact: knowyourselfnwm@gmail.com .

If you're in  Chicago, Tatiana Ali is organizing a Think Tank for the Chicago community. Get in where you fit in.

Winning

The world is renewed every day.

If you give someone a gift, you put it in his hand and then retract your hand, that retracting of the hand is the satan. If you give a parting friend a big bear hug and a squeeze, then release, that release is the satan.

The satan is like the limitation of good, the ending, the force of negativity, the resceding or recessive force -- you pick the best word or phrase to mean this.  And just like all forces, you can picture it as a vector. Mathematically, a vector is an arrow that goes in one direction and doesn't stop or turn -- until blocked.

All the forces -- or angels -- or vectors (however you want to call them)  can be tapped into. Like hitching a ride. People who choose to be lazy and/or stupid (going after their desires despite the fact that its not beneficial for the world) are riding on a particular force. These forces/angels/vectors connect to us via emotions and traits. We are like chariot riders holding the reins to the forces like horses to go from place to place.   We should be in control of the emotions/ traits/angels/vectors.  But each group of people have a tendency to not have good control of a certain type of force.

The more "watered down" the person or group  is whether physically/ genetically or mentally, the more there will be forces that they do not have good control over. In Esau's case, its the urge to end things (satan),

This is why the foundation (private parts) of black folks is so  important and so feared and seen as such an enemy -- to these forces! These parts produce people who, theoretically, should be able to control all the forces and not have one  trait or emotion overwhelm him -- i.e. not need a guardian angel or not be compelled to do anything out of great foolish desires.

But we are not supposed to know that for some reason.

So why not destroy that "force of ending"? I once heard a story:

A man who traveled to a certain land and he saw that everyone was living nicely.  There were many people young and old and no one died before their time. He loved this place and wanted to live amongst the people there.  The elders told him he can, but only he must keep the tradition of being always truthful. He said he would. Time passed. He found a wife, had children, etc.  One day a friend of his wife came to the door to visit the wife.  He didn't want to say that his wife was in the outhouse so he said, "she's not home!"  His desire was so great to "look good" he didn't even want to say "She's busy," lest it implies that she's in the bathroom.  The next thing people started dying (ending) early. The village was upset.  Who had brought the Satan in?  They made inquiries and found out that the newcomer had lied.  They sent him out from their town to restore peace.

Basically, the ending can end when we peel back the lies from the truth. (the secret of the circumcision) peeling back the desires from the truth.

Another story:

Gd decided to create the world and he summoned three ministers, Peace, Kindness, and Truth.  "What do you think of my creating a man?" He asked.
Kindness said, "Oh, yes! Make man. The kindness they will do for one another will be unbelievable!"Peace said, "NO! Don't make man.  They will make war and there will not be peace!"Truth said, "NO! Don't make man.  They will bring falsehood and there will be no truth!"
So, Gd took Truth and casted it down to the ground and made man.
The "keeping it real" that we do, I believe is one of the main pillars that has helped Black folks endure as long as we have.

 *            *               *            *             *             *              *              *            *             *

But now there is a new problem.  The charming (read: lying) white men who charm the Black women. And the white woman prize that Black men so badly seek.

After growing up with a constant diet of white men heros, the hero's prize being the white woman, white men romance movies, the subject of the romance being white women, movies with white men always in positions of power, always the good guys, always the successful ones, the end prize being always the white woman, etc. And even more so now with Black women used as sidekicks to some of these "meals," it's very hard to appeal to Black women and assure them that Black men are the right choice or even A choice to begin with. And it's very hard to appeal to Black men and assure them that Black women are actual prizes or even A choice to begin with.

The solution is this

First to recognize that there will always be a fuzzy line where interracial marriages happen.  This may be to the disatisfaction of white supremists, but they were the ones who  brought Black folks here to begin with and then they display to them this constant image  of white being the right and don't allow them to promote their own image. What did they expect?

This may also rub pan-Africans the wrong way, as well.

At any rate, the best solution I can see for that is

  1. Media must go.  It really isn't beneficial for us to continue giving our eyes and ears (and heart) to their media. By now we should know that and have the strength to not watch their shows. Entertainment is distraction from life.  We need it once in a while, but not too much.
  2. If we need the distraction at all, it's worth it to create our own. Even if it's mediocre in the beginning.
  3. With our own media, we can portray a perception of success. This will strengthen  the bond between Black men and Black women -- depending on the shows that get put out.
  4. We do have to create our own industries successfully, create our own food supplies, clothing, etc. And be the success that we need to be.  Its like why exist if we can't be successful?  Why forever struggle?  This may feel Darwin-ian  but it's really about creating our world and living our lives.
These are easier said than done.  Right now the lies are spreading like wildfire and there's not many interested in stomping out the fire.  But at least here -- one of many blueprints are out.

Why then?

I believe that Black folks are inherently good people.  But why do they commit such wrongs?  You all hear about the black on black crime -- they make sure you don't forget (and don't think about the massive white on white crime, and white on everybody else crime, etc).  So what gives?  And more importantly, how do we get out of this mess?

Going back to the story of Hham in the ark.  There was the ark, there was Hham and in the ark way above at the top was something to bring light.  Some say it was a window, others say it was a precious stone.

The top had to constantly give light for the ark.

Fast forward to today.  We have Torah, which can only be written on skin.  This Torah is kept in a closet called the Ark.  And above this ark is a fire which must constantly burn (or in modern times a light that has to be kept going).

Do you detect any similarities?

A deeper meaning can be found in Likutei Moharan.  The Torah or the teacher who teaches others is the center.  Those who come around to learn is the ark.  In the case of a teacher, the ark would be his students.  But the students are coming with all their defects, all their misunderstandings, ignorance, and so on - like all the animals in the Noah's ark (bear-anger, fox-slyness, etc).  When they come to the teacher, they bring all this to the teacher.

Understandably, if the teacher is not strong, he can easily succumb to all these evil inclinations that the students are bringing to him.  He can get as angry as a bear, sly as a fox, mean as a (insert animal with this trait here), as busy as a rabbit (if you know what I mean).  All those things rolled into one!! What will keep him strong?  The original fire that burned in his heart for G-d, for good in the world, for good for his people, etc.  That fire is the equivalent of the constant fire that must always stay lit above the ark.

By the grace of G-d and His many Blessings, Black folks have wowed the world for a long time now.  Whether its the amazing pyramids, the teachings that many greek scholars sought to gain in the universities in Timbuktu, the proverbs, the wisdoms, the strength, the beauty, etc. there is always something to behold from Black folks.  Something to emulate.  Something to seek from them.

Because of this, many come.  But as they come so too they  bring their ignorance, their misunderstandings, their evil inclinations, their evil ways and thoughts.  Unless we are fortified to the hilt and understand that we must stay strong against -- against -- their inclinations, it's not worth the bother.  Save it for the extremely wise and extremely strong among us.

May our hearts stay strong with the desire to do good, to be good, and to have a goodly world to live in for us and for our children and our children's children...

post script - there are those who come with an even greater evil, more than all of the evils combined.  The great arrogance.  No amount of wisdom can overcome arrogance.  The only thing that can defeat this is simple humility.

Why Are We Black? Turn from Evil and Do Good!

This understanding came to me one night.  I pray it is used for good.

Everything in the physical world has its corresponding connection in the spiritual world which in turn has its corresponding connection in other realms and so on and so forth.

For example:

Some very important connections to know going forward is:

sun rays = judgement, harsh judgement
water = mercy and/or Torah.
rainbow = sunrays hitting water.  judgement hit by mercy.

In the story of Noach and the flood, it was a time when people became very corrupt.  Previously, low angels called, Nefillim, fell into the earth with the intent of f*cking with people.  The resulting children from this rape were white children doing and encouraging corruption to everyone else and everywhere.  The corruption went down even unto the animals and plants, almost effecting even the ground.

As a result, so many were doing wicked things.  G-d gave the world a good spanking for their bad behavior.  This flood was an interesting "punishment" meted out with mercy and judgement.  The flood waters represent mercy, but it came in an overwhelming way and drowned the people and cleansed the earth.  Afterwards the sun (which represents harsh judgement) came out.  That was the punch hidden in the mercy.

Luckily for Ham, while in the shelter of the ark, he had a revelation.  Ham had "intercourse" in the ark.  Just as we write that "Adam knew Chava" it is meant to mean that Adam had intercourse with Chava, gaining knowledge and having intercourse are similar and interchangeable.

So Ham realized and knew something while in the ark.  According to some sages, the ark was lit with a sapphire stone.  Precious stones vibrate -- they are often used on the body to open blocks and to correct behaviors. So, Ham starred at this precious stone and had a revelation -- from this he saw through the mercy, through harsh judgement that was hidden within the mercy, and even  the next coming "flood"

This is why the history of the people from Ham is so similar to the history of the Jewish people.

SIMILARITIES:

  • Ham went into the ark before the flood of waters came down.  In the story of the Hebrews, they went to the foot of the mountain before the flood of Torah came down
  • Ham was said to have had intercourse while in the ark and the flood was coming down.  In the story of the Hebrews, it is taught that they were under a "wedding canopy" when they received the Torah.  And just like a wedding, in order to consumate the wedding, the couple must have intercourse..
  • After the ark experience, Ham was met with racism.  After the Torah experience, the Jewish people were met with anti-semitism.
  • After the ark, Ham saw Noach polluting the ground again and acted on it.  Noach grew a vineyard.  Eventually, got drunk, striped down and went into the tent.  Remember, the last sin before the flood was illicit sexual acts and spilling seed.  Ham did not want another repeat of the ruination of his world, so he acted on it to stop Noach.  Noach was a righteous man in his time.  Meaning, back in his day, he was the best of the worse.  But after the ark incident, Ham rose higher in righteousness whereas Noach stayed the same.  This created jealousy.  Also, with the Hebrews, after receiving the Torah, antisemitism came into the world.  Three had "intercourse" in the ark.  Ham, the raven, and the dog.  As a result, as the teachings go, Ham was stricken in the skin.  The raven was made to spit.  And the dog was fit to be tied.
    • The dog is now considered "man's best friend" in many societies.  They love the dog.  They keep it and feed it.  They tie it to their homes.  The dog has graduated away from the animal world and is almost a part of the human world.
    • The raven has the ability to speech even better than the parrot.  With their intelligence, which is like that of a seven year old human child combined with their ability to speak, which is strictly a human quality, the raven, too, has graduated away from the animal world and almost entered the human realms.
    • Now Ham, who is already human, is stricken in the skin.  When a parent wants a child to do something, the speak to the child.  If the child doesn't listen, the parent speaks louder, even shouting.  If the child still doesn't listen, the parent may strike the child.  Striking is like a loud, thunderous speech.  When Ham was "stricken" in the skin, it's Gd speaking strongly into Ham giving him teachings and instructions. With this understanding and knowledge, Ham almost left the human world and almost entered the angelic world. This message, which we call melanin, has the instructions and guidelines for us.
  • Ham's son, Canaan, was said by the disgraced Noach that he should be a "slave of slaves."  Jewish Torah commentator, Shlomo Yitzchaki, aka RASHI, spread it to mean Ham and all his descendants would be "slave of slaves."  Interestingly, Black people fight for the civil rights of many who have no voice and who cannot fight on their own.  Even when they don't fight, many who are oppressed hang on to the stories of Black civil right leaders and Black Panthers and others to gain strength to fight another day.  The Jewish people were said they should be a "priest unto the nations."  Another thankless job.  Just as the Jewish people were able to regain their land, Israel, so too this gives hope to the Native Americans, the Aboriginals of Australia, and others that they can regain their land and tongue back.
  • Later on Canaan travels to Israel, then called the Land of Canaan. Later on the Jewish people travel to Israel, then they changed the name to Land of Israel.

It is taught that Ham was blessed black as the raven, Jaffeth was blessed white, and shem was blessed black.

Because Ham was able to peer through and see the future with a vision, he understood how to behave, how important truth was, and how to live in harmony with the world.  Which he was prepared to do.  He had a Torah written into his skin and was bound to live righteously or face terrible consequences.  Just as Shem's descendants were given Torah on Mount Sinai -- that can only be written on (cow) skin to live by. The skin is the testimony of Black people being bound to Gd --hence, the fact that so many can rightfully say they are Gd or Gdesses.  And the Torah, which can only be written on skin is for all others who wish to take up righteous living and be bound to Gd as well.

Back to the story of Noach.  After the great flood in Noach's time, when things began to dry up a little, the sun began to shine, meaning judgement has now come (fist part of the diagram).  The waters (mercy) had come ahead and did most of the job so that the sun's rays (i.e. the harsh judgement) hardly had anyone to get..  But what happens when water meets the sun's ray?  The colors get separated like a prism.

The judgement became scattered.

A short story:
There was once a king who was so angry with his son he ordered a big bolder to be thrown at him to kill him.  When the day came to do this, he felt so bad since he didn't give his son a second chance but he couldn't remove the decree.  So what did he do?  He ordered that the bolder be broken into little bits, that way each little bit will be thrown at the son and not much damage will happen, thus sparing his life.

With each color separated -- each judgement separated -- it went to different people depending on what they deserved -- depending on what they were a vessel for.  But Ham, having had his vision, was pure and was blessed black (Shem too).

When we're dealing with light, we are dealing with physics.  And in physics the lack of color is Black (unlike chemistry).  And a combination of all the colors -- all the judgements -- is white.

Thus no color = no judgement came upon him, and therefore, he was Black.  Someone who was very bad, who did all the wrong things, all the judgement went on them and they would be all the colors combined --white.

We are black because we turned away from evil.  But the world needs help.  It's not enough to just turn away from evil.

"Turn from evil and do good."
                                                       Psalms 34:14

Despite this great beginning, some of us are turning into spiritually white people.  We demand to be included in their wickedness.  We join their army and pillage brown countries for resources, we join in their pranks and laugh at the expense of the tormented, we overlook their deception, and beg for a seat at their table.

That is not what we are supposed to be doing.  In the Torah and possibly Bible, we learn about how so many people never died, they simply "walked into paradise."  Is it a place that we can walk to?  Consider Africa, the cradle of humanity, the motherland.  Just like a mother, it has everything the baby needs.  We have been carried so far away from Motherland and have been suffering for it ever since.  Why not re-establish the connection?  Why not walk back into paradise?  Sadly, whites have discovered a way in.  The sword of fire no longer holds them back.  But are we going to just sit there and watch?  Or will we reclaim Motherland?  Its not enough to have turned away from evil so long ago.  Turn from evil... and do good for the Motherland.

Sevivon sof sof sof

Its almost Chanukah!!  I can feel the excitement in the air.  The bakeries are already offering soufganiot for the impatient.

I've already double checked my stash of sevivons for when the time comes to play them.  They are also known as dreidels.  Funny, I took a look at my plan, wooden dreidel and.....

There are so much more fancier dreidels out these days:

Check out Amazon's decorated to the hilt dreidel!

Nowadays there's metalic dreidals...

Yemenite art dreidels...

And dreidels with music and lights...

Dreidel is a competitive game in which all players take turns to spin a top which has letters on different sides.  Coins are put out as wagers.  If it lands on the letter Gimel then the spinner gets all the wagered coins.  If it lands on Nun, then the spinner gets none.  If it lands on Heh, they get half and if it lands on Pey, they have to actually add to the wager.

This game is played by Jewish people during the eight days of  Chanukah.  What kind of dreidel are you getting this Chanukah??

Trump Wins!

Well, wouldn't you know it!  Trump wins!

Trump is a lot like Noach in the Bible.  In a society with so much depravity, with so many trying only to look out for themselves, it makes the racist look like righteous people -- at least they care for a group rather than just themselves.  Okay, so we're not included in that group, but....

What's next?  Just like Noach, Trump will build an ark -- a safe haven for those who think like him and protect them from whatever oncoming flood the country created.

Many Black folks will hope that maybe if they behave Trump and his klan will accept them.  And they might - as long as they're useful.  But if they show too much knowledge or get intimate with too much knowledge, then out they go.

On the other hand,...

while this ark is around and people are suffering, etc.there is a shiny door -- a window that will be visible.  If we are concentrated enough we can maybe peer through that window and realize the way out, the solution to the woes of society.

Will Ham get intimate again in the ark?  Will he peer through the precious stone again and gain new knowledge?

The cycle has come again. And this time, what will he do with this knowledge?

Long ago, back in some Biblical time ago, Ham was in the ark and he, the raven, the dog had intercourse in the ark.  As a result the raven gain the power of speech, the dog gained entrance into man's world and Ham was stricken with knowledge in his skin.

According to the Oral Torah, Noach tried to chuck the raven out for what he did in the ark.  The raven -- being able to fly -- saved himself by returning to the ark.  An argument ensued.  Noach charged that the raven is useless and purposeless and should be killed!  The raven replies that Noach is only saying that because he wants access to the raven's wife!  And furthermore, that Noach was prejudiced towards the raven because of what happened in the ark.  The Oral Torah goes on to say that the G-d favored the raven's argument.

So Noach was silenced.

Once he got out of the ark, He thanked G-d.  But the next thing you know, he grows a vineyard, gets drunk and debases himself.  Ham, not wanting a repeat of how society was, came in and "confronted" Noach.  Ham then called his brothers and told them what happened.  For this he was cursed by Noach.

(Personally, I think Noach had it in for all the three who were intimate in the ark.  But the big question is what did he do with the dog?  I think after the vineyard, and since he couldn't get the raven's wife, the dog was next!  but have no proof.)

So, history is coming full circle.  The ark is being built.  Noach is the head at the moment.  What will Ham do to change the course of history?  How will he use this knowledge for the good of the world? For the good of his people?  For his own good?

Personally, the only way I think would work is if he goes the way of Eliezer.  Eliezer was righteous, too.  He served Avraham dutifully.  But eventually, he went -- while alive -- to Gan Eden/Paradise.  What does that mean?  I suspect it means he went back to Africa.

And that is what I think the Black folks in America should be doing.

Eliezer and Our Story

One very unsung hero in the bible is Eliezer.  The Servant of Abraham.

He was said to be so holy and on such a high level that he was able to go into paradise while alive.

Eliezer was given the holy task of being the vessel to make the match for Yitzchok/Isaac.  He took it on.  I am almost certain that if it was for anyone else, there would be scores and scores of written words about how the father should have taken the job himself and what an important job it was and how dare he leave it to the servant.  But since it was one of the people that we decide is a "good guy" then no matter what, some will not fault him for anything.

So there goes Eliezer with this big load of responsibility on his back.  Stories have it that he prayed constantly for Hashem to show him who is the right person for this holy marriage.

He stood by the well and waited.  He knew most people had to come around this old time water cooler and perhaps he can get info this way.  As he waited, Rivka (Rebecca) came with her pitcher to gather water for her family.

Eliezer asks her for some water and she graciously pulls water out of the well not only for him, but for his camel as well.  This was a sure sign that she was giving and kind.  Not only that but that she went the extra mile.  Eliezer then presented her with gifts and explained his purpose.  Rivka brings him home to tell the family what's going on.

The family is an interesting one.  The father, Bethuel, doesn't sound like he's such a nice guy.  In fact, he named his own daughter, Rivka, after a bunch of cows (in Hebrew a group of cows is called a rivka) as a way to insult her.  Bethuel tries to swindle Eliezer for more $$, but Rivka sees her way out and grabs it.  That very day she agrees to go with Eliezer.

Question:  if Bethuel was such a bad guy that he was willing to shame his daughter by calling her a rivka, try and swindle a man who was trying to offer a good marriage to his own daughter, why wouldn't he shame his son as well by calling him Laban which means white.  It was post the time of the flood.  Hopefully, most of the nefillim were washed away and all those who brought on destruction of the world.  But what if a few remained.  what if Laban, due to Bethuel's genes, came out white.  Why would someone call another white if he wasn't the lone white guy?  As if the whiteness singled him out and, this being Bethuel we're talking about, was a way to insult someone.

I'll tell you why.

Because I suspect right now we are in the times of Avraham.  Meaning we are in a place in time where we can do kindness.  We can do hospitality.  We can take care of bodies, things, etc.  But mentally, we may still be in the same mindset as Noach's thinking.  And Noach was basically a racist.  He set the tone. He didn't like the fact that Ham was wise.  that Ham, the dog, and the raven took advantage of an advantageous moment and elevated themselves. So much so that he wanted to chuck the raven the first chance he got.  He cursed Ham the first chance he got.  And luckily the dog escaped unscaithed.

So even though we can give and be kind, mentally we are stuck in Noach's mindset.  I think this is also why the Torah is written in the angle that it is written.

I think it is important to take the halachot (laws) and mitzvot (good deeds, commandments) from the Torah, but then each person must map out and chronicle their own narrative of why.  We must all write our Torah.

For example, the story of the Exodus could be written completely from the direction of the Egyptian.  How Hashem wanted to bring them back to holiness.  Or perhaps they reached the height of wisdom and had no choice but to enter a new world -- the world of humility, which would explain the whole reversal of creation that occurred.

That same story can probably be said again from the angle of another, smaller group of people who lived during that time.

I pray we find Hashem and do good deeds (mitzvot, commandments) and not rely on hisstory -- i.e. the other guy's story, but find our story -- and find the goodness in our story (and not fight another about their story).

The Festival of Sukkot, Black Don't Crack, and Lots of Love

The Festival of Sukkot

We are now celebrating the Festival of Booths, a.k.a Sukkot.  This is when the Jewish people around the world build little huts and dwell in them for a period of time.  This is also the time when we do these interesting rituals of gathering a lulav (palm branch), an etrog (type of lemon), a myrtle branch and a branch from a willow tree.

All four "species" are held together and shaken in every direction while inside the sukkah.
The sukkah must be at least with three walls -- two and a half really.  The roof must be something natural -- either branch leaves, many use palm branch leaves, bamboo sticks, or wood.  And the sky shouldn't be completely covered -- you should be able to see some stars.

If the walls are made of soft materials such as sheets, then it must not bellow in the wind.

Inside the sukkah is filled with beautiful decorations.  It used to be that most of the decorations were various fake fruits dangling down a green leafy vine.  But someone got the bright idea of introducing (recycling?) Christmas decorations and selling it in Israel as Sukkah decorations.  So we have that now, lol.

These four species have many significant meaning.  The one that I want to focus on is the one which teaches that:

  • The etrog represents both tzaddik and scholar, the righteous individual who does good deeds and so has an aroma (doesn't smell "fishy" but in fact smells goodly) and studies Torah diligently and so is edible (nutritious).
  • The lulav represents those who only study Torah but not much good deeds; it is edible, but doesn't have a fragrance.  I.e. someone with wisdom, but not the commandments.
  • The myrtle is the one who had good deeds but doesn't have the capacity to study Torah.
  •  And the willow represents the one who has neither Torah learning nor good deeds.

The Lulav & Black folks

The lulav makes me think of Black folks, Native American Indians, all those "earthy" people who possess wisdom.  There are stories in the Talmud representing the wisdom in Africa.  To read some check out the women story, the story of Africa, and the judge's story.

History also bears out this truth with the introduction of mathematics by the Pheonicians, the universities of Mali, the Egyptians' creation of the pyramids, pyramids found in Sudan, the Dagon people and their knowledge of astrology.  The list goes on and on.

They have the wisdom.  But many do not have the commandments.  I remember riding in my car once and there was a lady, Black American, who was waiting for the red light.  But she wasn't waiting to cross the street.  When the light turned red, she went from car to car asking for charity.

I called her over and gave her whatever I had on the dashboard.  She looked surprise and I asked her what was so surprising.  She answer," Most times Black folks don't give me charity."

I was kind of crushed.  I do remember walking with friends and if we saw a poor on the street they would make comments like, "why give him money?  He'll just spend it on booze."  And with that the thought of giving charity was dismissed.

And with the constant propaganda at work by mainstream media, the riff between black folks is only increasing.

Being influenced by the depravity that is around them, many black communities have to deal with lots of theft, baby mama drama, murder, etc.

These commandments are pleasant.  They anchors a person to this world.  They tell/remind us how to handle property, how to deal with other people, honor one's mother and father, do not steal, do not murder,  It anchors us to present world -- our world.

Black folks are brilliant and their wisdom precedes them.  However, something didn't anchor them to the world and they succumbed when they encountered the "spirit of folly" -- the evil one -- the storm wind.  Evil ran circles around them because evil is not logical.  It attempts to make itself seem logical, but if you try to understand it, you'd simply go crazy.

Black Don't Crack

All these things come to mind and I feel crushed.  Why are all the goodly people in such lowly positions?  Why do innocent countries get taken by wicked European countries and left in forever civil wars while the wicked take over the resources and take over the education process thereby ruining the next generation?  Why can't African-Americans come together and hold steadily and strong against the storm winds?

"That which Wisdom made a crown for her head, Humility made a heel for her sandal"

The Wisdom alone is not enough to fight this evil.

The height of wisdom is only the beginning of humility, of being humble.

Although it seems incredible to think that the humble one can be more powerful than the wise one, it is true!

What is so special about the humble one?  He goes on his path.  He does what he knows and doesn't sway neither to the right nor to the left.  He is consistent and continuous.  We have listened to the storm wind.  It constantly tells us how bad we are and tries to back it up with history, science, whatever else would make a good tool. It doesn't matter of one contradicts the other.  As long as at the present it is in a constant state of trying to get into our heads.

Haters have certain weapons that they use against us:

  • Lies
  • Distractions

These weapons can be easily defeated by truth (and therefore by wisdom).  But the problem is the consistency of the message.  We are bombarded daily with lies and distractions and propaganda telling us we should be thugs, we are thugs, we are not smart, and so on.  With the humble person, neither of these tools work.  The humble person only does what he knows.  He's not searching and so won't find the distractions.

Black folks tend to be truthful, keeping it real.  This could be why we don't see a lie coming? (Of course, it doesn't mean black folks never lie.  They would lie if they wanted to save face, etc.)
But with all the constant effort of haters trying to lie, trying to distract, trying to take over, trying to destroy, etc.  They are zooming themselves farther and farther from real time (or at least our time), making us and them look farther and farther apart.

Like totally different time zones!

As they speed away in their destructive direction, I suppose they see time very differently than we do.  And we see it differently than they do.  At the rate they're going - and as we look at life through their lens, black ain't neva gon crack! lol

This is all good and well, but the other problem that they are destroying the world as they move and that needs to stop.  We must stop it.

We must stop it.

Conclusion

So what could possibly have gotten us into this mess?  We have wisdom, but wisdom and truth can't fight crazy.  So how do we get out from under their crazy and evil oppression?  With wisdom and with good deeds/commandments from humble, Torah true teachers/teachings.  When can this happen?  Now!

The sukkah represents the world around us. We don't want the walls of our world, our house being swayed by the storm wind.  The roof something natural like the sky and we can see the stars.  We shake all the species and then draw their energy toward us in all the directions.  As we draw them toward us -- like a receptive woman, let us be humble with the knowledge that we gain from this and go in Gd's guiding voice.

I got lots of love for you all and am rooting for you!!  (for the sake of goodness, for the sake of humanity.)

Post script:  I don't know if it has to be good deeds that stem from Torah itself.  Torah is very baseline.  But perhaps even African Spirituality will have good deeds -- like libation,  festive dancing, etc.  Things that will anchor the individual to a time and place and thereby anchoring a person to the world.
